ABOUT ME
My work celebrates faith, family and Black culture, threads that shape both my identity and artistic voice. I paint Black people with the intention of highlighting dignity, joy, and truth in how we see ourselves and each other. Acrylic is my primary medium, though I often return to my roots in mixed media, layering texture and color to honor the depth of our stories.
My work has been featured in the Museum of Science and Industry’s Black Creativity Exhibition in Chicago in 2023 and 2026, Giving Her, Her Flowers at Navy Pier, and the Oak Bluffs Public Library’s Sankofa Festival and HBCU Legacy Week on Martha’s Vineyard, and is held in private collections across the country.
